The Thaddeus F. Aubry and Leon A. LeBuffe Endowment supports educational diversity at The Catholic University of America.

In exercising its discretion, The Catholic University of America shall select students based upon being active members of a student service or advocacy organization, demonstrating financial need and in good academic standing.

The Thaddeus F. Aubry Jr. and Leon LeBuffe Scholarship was established to acknowledge and honor Misters Aubry and LeBuffe for the work they did in establishing the Partnership Program, a minority scholarship program that began in 1969 to benefit promising young students from the Washington, D.C. area.

As Catholic University alumnus and longtime track and field coach at the University Joe Fisher '75 notes:

"Above all, the endowment recognizes the commitment of these two men who worked to provide opportunities for minority students to attend and graduate from Catholic University," said Fisher. "Their vision, determination, and tenacity is what made it possible for me and Ronny and many others to attend Catholic University over four decades ago." Coach Fisher and fellow alumnus, Ronny Lancaster '73 were leading figures in establishing this endowment and they oversee the annual luncheon during Cardinal Weekend where the award is announced.
